The "Intergenerational Hub - The Stage" addresses the demographic shifts in Geelong, Australia, by fostering social interaction among different age groups to combat public health issues like obesity and mental health disorders.

The concept introduces a multifunctional, self-sustaining space that transitions through various experiences, symbolized by a reflecting water element. The design incorporates principles of equitable use, flexibility, and universal design, with features like wheelchair accessibility, movable furniture, and wildlife-attracting spaces, enhancing healing and recovery.

Constructed with light steel frame structures (LSFS) using cold-formed steel sections, the hub is modular, precise, and quick to assemble. Sustainable practices include organic farming, high-performance glazing, solar panels generating 70% of electricity, and rainwater and greywater recycling.

The design promotes energy efficiency with CO2 occupancy control and LED lighting. The hub's construction costs $3051 per square meter, with solar panels and a lift system ensuring net-zero energy and accessibility. The project is scheduled for 75 days, emphasizing quick, modular assembly and sustainability. Stage aims to foster community engagement, emotional well-being, and environmental responsibility through thoughtful, inclusive design.
