Connection To Nature: Central to this project are well-designed spaces that seamlessly connect with natural surroundings to improve health and wellbeing. Large internal windows frame the landscape to create bright, open spaces. Outdoor gardens, recreational areas, and a central sweep of eucalyptus trees create a peaceful environment that's conducive to healing.

Social Value: Offering residential rehabilitation facilities closer to home enhances accessibility for regional Victorians, allowing them to stay connected with their communities during treatment. This is vital for the holistic recovery process, as proximity to home and community services supports better outcomes.

Commercial Value: This modular approach not only accelerated the construction timeline but also provided cost certainty. The efficient use of labour and material resources allowed for high quality outcome to ensure longevity and durability of the facilities.

How does the project showcase the practice of prefabrication/smart building?

This project exemplifies the advantages of prefabrication through its rapid construction timeline and high-quality results. By employing modular construction, we efficiently delivered 37 modules, reducing on-site disruption and construction waste. The design's integration with the natural landscape demonstrates how prefabrication can achieve both aesthetic and functional excellence. This approach highlights the potential for modular construction to create complex, therapeutic environments in a fraction of the time required by traditional methods, setting a precedent for future healthcare projects.
