Travis Yap is a design engineer with over 26 years’ experience in the field of footings and foundations. Travis provides design expertise in various footings for structures including commercial and residential buildings, retaining walls, pool design and underpinning. He also has experience in geotechnical engineering and both surface and subsurface drainage. 

In more recent years as the head engineer at Foundation Technologies Australia he has become proficient in pile design for true helical piles and has been instrumental in developing innovative new products that have been brought to market. These include a cut down version of the Shortek shoring panel specifically used for the pool market and concrete-free posts for sleeper retaining walls. Travis also oversees compliance, ensuring that the most compliant piling products are supplied to each client’s project.
