Bachelor of Civil Engineering (UoM 2010)
Philip is a Research Fellow & Teaching Specialist at The University of Melbourne specializing in energy efficiency and sustainable materials. He is a theme coordinator for sustainable materials and design in the Building 4.0 CRC and is leading several project related to adoption of industry 4.0 principals for Australian construction and the development of sustainable materials, such as timber fiber insulation and high performance prefabricated panelised wall systems. Philip is working to close the loop on building materials to implement high performance, low carbon materials whilst allowing for re-use and recovery at the end of the building life. He has worked extensively with key Australian mass timber manufacturers to improve the structural and fire performance of their products as well as allow for use of more sustainably sourced timber.
