Nigel Burdon

Nigel is a Technical Director in the AECOM Melbourne Building Structures team who has worked internationally on various complex and innovative projects.

He has a particular interest in designing long-span complex geometry structures, as well as in timber engineering. Notable timber design experience includes the the Bunjil Place Council Facility, as well as the Swinburne University Factory of the Future spherical timber meeting room structure. Nigel led the design of Ballarat GovHub which helped pave the way for large-scale timber office buildings in Victoria. He is currently the AECOM Multidisciplinary Engineering Project Director for the 15 storey T3 Collingwood project that is nearing completion.
