David Chuter

David is Chief Executive Officer at the Innovative Manufacturing CRC, based in Melbourne.

David is an experienced senior executive with a strong industry record in leading strategic business growth, operational management and change in the manufacturing sector. He is passionate about local industry and creating a stronger platform for the wider Australian manufacturing sector through catalysing investment in innovation, collaboration and competitiveness. David has more than twenty-five years of international manufacturing experience, with much of this experience gained in the automotive industry. 

David joined IMCRC in June 2016. Prior to this, David was CEO of MHG Asia Pacific from 2014 and a member of Futuris Automotive’s executive leadership team from 2001.

David holds a first-class Honours Degree in Manufacturing Engineering and Management from the University of Bath in England, and is a Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Engineering and Technology. 

David is a Member of the Board of the CRC Association. 

David will be doing a joint presentation with Lance Worrell on the Innovative Manufacturing CRC (IMCRC) and Industrial Transformation opportunities for prefabAUS members.
