David Bylund

David is an architect and a passionate advocate of timber and its capacity to build tomorrow’s buildings better by creating superior living and working environments in a sustainable manner. He currently employed as a specialist mid-rise timber design and construction advocate at Forest Wood Products Australia’s WoodSolutions Mid-rise Advisory Program. Prior to this, he was a Research Fellow at the University of Tasmania in the school of Architecture and Design’s Centre for Sustainable Architecture in Wood (CSAW).

David’s presentation will explore both current and emerging prefabrication systems in Australia with an emphasis on developing a mature, broad based and resilient supply chain.
