Site tours for Industry Transformation conference announced
PrefabAUS can announce this year’s three-day conference will include site tours to some of Melbourne’s most innovative prefabricated buildings across the education, health care, multi-residential and transportation sectors.
Those attending site tours at this year’s conference will travel to Caulfield Grammar in Wheelers Hill. This project is an example of a modular prefab building that has been installed to support an entirely new way of student-led learning, with an emphasis on high-end IT functionality.
Guests will also visit Mitcham Hospital which in 2014 underwent a $5.5m expansion completed using modular construction techniques, significantly reducing the on-site time and costs.
One9 Apartments and Nunawading Train Station are also included on the site tour itinerary as examples of groundbreaking buildings built on extremely tight timeframes.
These optional site tours, which will run from 10.30am to 4.30pm on the 14th of September, can be added to your conference experience for an additional $125.
We invite you to be part of this important conversation on prefabricated design, construction, manufacturing, and delivery. With your participation, we can continue to strengthen Australia’s prefabrication industry to meet growing demand and international competition.
The three-day conference will include an influential lineup of local and international speakers who will set the stage on how prefabricated construction is transforming the industry and turning the traditional built environment upside down.
The Australian building manufacturing industry is in a state of change and growth. Explore this exciting time at the prefabAUS ‘Industry Transformation’ conference.
More exciting announcements regarding presentations, panel discussion and workshops with leading industry figures and government will follow in the coming weeks.
