Meet the Speaker: Ewelina Wozniak-Szpakiewicz
Ewelina Wozniak-Szpakiewicz is the Chief Executive Officer at DMDmodular Ltd based in Poland, a company which offers high quality volumetric modular solutions with focus on the housing and hospitality industries. Ms Woźniak-Szpakiewicz is honored to be one of the inaugural members of the European Council of Modular Building Institute (MBI). As a PhD in Technical Sciences, she has taught as part of the Faculty of Architecture at Cracow University of Technology (Poland) while also collaborating at numerous universities in England, Italy, Germany and China. Her main focus is attaining sustainability and efficiency both in the ecological and financial aspects of the built environment. In 2019, Ewelina Woźniak-Szpakiewicz received an award - the “Person of the year 2019” in the category “Technology Company” by 4 Buildings Awards
Ms. Wozniak is a frequent speaker at industry where her insights and knowledge of modular construction technologies are shared with various Associations and Institutions i.e.: FutureBuild London, Off-Site Construction Expo in New York, MOD-X in Boston, Modular Matters, World of Modular, prefabAUS
Despite of young age of DMDmodular, the company has already gained industry accolades. In 2018 it was honored to be nominated to the Award in the Property Award 2019 for the best hotel in Poland - Bonifacio Spa and Sports Resort (4****), the first modular 4**** categorized hotel in Poland. DMDmodular received a prestigious first-place prize in the Modular Building Institute Award of Distinction competition organized as part of the annual World of Modular event in Las Vegas. The company was recognized for its design and quality solutions offered to the academic facilities industry. Additional proof of industry appreciation is being selected for the AC Hotel by Marriott, located in New York City which will be the tallest modular hotel in the world. Apart from that, DMD has also been selected for providing the Quality Pavilion for the most innovative electric battery factory, of Mercedes Benz. The pavilion was successfully completed in 2019. Due to the innovative-technological approach and focus on the quality, DMDmodular has been chosen to construct RAD's Patented Modular Healthcare Solutions Throughout Europe as an exclusive manufacturer. Currently, the company is involved in the Student Housing modular building in Scotland as well as Leisure Park in the Netherlands.
