Systemised Design Group aspires to be your Consultant of Choice for structural / DfMA engineering in the design of buildings. Our mission is adding value to our clients by using our extensive experience in the design of buildings and knowledge of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) to deliver optimum framing solutions in collaboration with project design teams.
We were established because our clients asked us to utilise our experience in DfMA that was gained from working on projects throughout the UK, Europe, USA and South-East Asia.
We believe that great buildings are achieved by starting with a systemised approach to design that allows for continuous improvement and increased construction productivity.
Simon McCarthy is a Principal Structural / DfMA Engineer and the Founding Director of Systemised Design Group. He has over 25 years of experience in the Australian building industry and is a nationally registered / chartered professional engineer.
Simon is a leading advocate for the adoption of DfMA, to promote productivity gains in the construction industry. He has previously worked for several international consultancies and lead teams in the design of projects to utilise offsite construction in Europe, UK, US and South-East Asia.
Simon is regularly called upon for his expertise in conferences, government committees and university teams to share knowledge of his experience in using innovative design solutions with digital technologies. This includes development and documentation of platform, modular and kit-of-parts construction techniques for multi-storey buildings.
